Janet Benrey has worked in many different aspects of book development. She has served as as the editorial director of a small press, a book publicist, a novelist, and a literary agent. She has co-written nine romantic suspense novels with her husband Ron, plus a romance novella that she wrote independently.
Janet founded Benrey Literary Agency in 2006, after serving as an agent at another agency for nearly five years. Her agenting philosophy is to build a strong working relationship with the clients she represents — and to limit her representation to manuscripts that she truly believes in.
Janet earned her degree in Communication (Magna cum Laude) from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a frequent speaker and teacher at leading writers conferences.
